The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed concerning the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no SRD fully functional office focused on service the area every day. The company point established for intervention encounters a significant influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all clients and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
